This year's Valentine's Day was a little different, as we decided to have dinner at SATO Briand in Tokyo. It's a renowned wagyu yakiniku restaurant located in Asagaya, along the Chuo Line in Tokyo. Apart from its main store, the restaurant has four other branches, all strategically located around Asagaya Station.🐗had to make a reservation one month in advance because the restaurant operates on a strictly reservation-only basis. Despite having a luxurious atmosphere, it didn't feel intimidating or too formal like other high-end yakiniku restaurants. The interior was cozy and welcoming, like a local yakiniku spot. We opted for the "Direct Course（直球套餐）," which features a selection of seven carefully chosen meats weighing approximately 310g.The ambiance here was great, and our server was friendly and knowledgeable about the different cuts of meat. He explained in great detail how we were to eat the beef with the sauces or salt, and grilled every course for us. We were impressed by his grilling skills as every cut was grilled to perfection. All the cuts were DELICIOUS🫶 and the wagyu literally melted in our mouths.My favourites were the Tenderloin cutlet Sando and Tenderloin Rice. Juicy cutlet with a crispy coating sandwiched between two amazingly fragrant toasted bread while the tenderloin rice pairing with yolk and sea urchins perfectly. The choice of cut was incredibly fitting, making it super tender to the teeth with each bite.Total price came to about 36000yen with drinks, reasonable considering the quality ingredients and service.
