After my toxic exploration in Chiba, Ikebukuro and Shibuya, I finally had my first proper meal of the day at this ramen resto for dinner. .I got Karabon Set A. With hot and spicy tonkotsu soup, the ramen included chunks of marinated meat, seasoned cod roe and flavoured boiled egg. The tonkotsu broth tasted incredibly rich and its spiciness was on point. The marinated meat was thick and tender, which melted in your mouth. The seasoned cod roe enhanced the savoury of the ramen. Appreciated the flavoured boiled egg the most. It was absolutely impressive🥹. The egg yolk was perfectly runny with a delightful alcoholic aroma. Loved the ramen a lot!.The resto was small with limited seating, so I had to wait for a while before being able to enter. The place was nicely decorated, adding some liveliness to this little shop. The seating arrangement consisted of individual seats, which was friendly to single traveller and introvert..The resto provided menus in multiple languages, including Japanese, English, and Chinese. This made it quite tourist-friendly. Also, the staff was easygoing and accommodating..In fact, I still rmb my first ramen experience in Japan was with this ramen brand (yet the shop I visited was in Akasaka). This time, it definitely brought back memory and made me feel very nostalgic. It was still as good as before😋. continue reading

I ordered the set with one of every condiment- a soft boiled egg, chashu, bamboo shoots, kakuni and spicy cod roe. I've had many bowls of ramen before but this was absolutely amazing. The noodles were nice and chewy in a very, very rich broth with chashu(stewed pork) and kakuni(braised pork belly) that simply melts in your mouth. I love how the spicy cod roe adds even more heat and saltiness but not to overpowering. We also ordered a dish of gyoza which were also very good. Apart from the fantastic food, the vibe of the restaurant was also very unique. The whole place was so colorful and animtaed making the dining experience even more pleasurable. continue reading
