Not gonna lie, this Michelin-rated chicken broth ramen was one of the places I was most excited to try 🤩 and it did not disappoint. Hands down the best ramen I’ve ever had! The broth was super creamy, rich, and flavourful🤤 We even ended up drinking half the soup after finishing the noodles because it was that good. Tonkatsu is always at the top of my list when I’m in Japan 🐷 We tried different cuts and fat levels: the original loin, shoulder loin, and premium loin. For a perfect balance, I’d highly recommend the shoulder loin, it’s just right, not too fatty, and has a rich pork flavour that’s incredibly satisfying. What’s better than having Shabu Shabu on a chilly winter day in Tokyo? 🍲 We ordered the Black Pork Belly Shabu Shabu hotpot this time, while I usually go for wagyu, this black pork belly was absolutely next-level, tender and flavourful. They provide a small bowl of soup where you can adjust the spice to your liking, then add sesame and spring onion for extra flavour. Boil the pork belly, dip it in your customised soup, and finish off with some ramen, so satisfying! The seats are super comfy, making the whole experience even better. Another surprise highlight? One of my absolute must-eats whenever I’m in Tokyo: the beef cutlet set (gyu-katsu).
