I went here in the afternoon around 2:30 and still waited 30 min before going in. When you reach the stop of the staircase, the wait to get to the booth should be around 30min. Once you get in to the glass door, you have to go to the machine and order your ramen. Take a ticket and go on to the second line. In this line, you will get a detailed form on how concentrated you want your soup, how spicy you want it, etc. I can’t take spicy food and yet, the 1/2 spicy portion is just right. It gives you a kick but not too much. After there is a booth available, you will enter the booth (which is very small and tight). You start with an egg and you have to get hands on to take off the shell. The toppings come on a plate and the ramen come by itself with the soup. In this all-you-can-eat bbq place, it’s all about the quality of the meat. So choose wisely when you pick a package. If you only pick the lower price package, you probably wasted your time and money. I picked the 4900 yen package that includes the tongue and wagyu. The tongue was great but the wagyu could be better (the top cuts are in the 9900 yen package). I really enjoyed the scallops and takowasabi. I also picked the prawns from the lower package and the vegetable soup (soup was not my favorite). This is the golden standard for ramen. Truly, it’s namesake and the recognition are well deserved. If there is a temple for the ramen god, this would be it. You wait in line for at least an hour or more for a 10-15 min experience but it’s worth it. Before you take the chopstick to the bowl of ramen, smell the delicious broth and the toppings, take pictures and and truly enjoy it before you dig in. Like no other ramen place in the world. This place is unique and if you love ramen, you have to get in line and try this. The broth is wonderful and the ramen is so good. I went to this place in light of the reviews and it was a true disappointment. The ramen very average and potentially the worst ramen in Tokyo (but still above average for ramen anywhere in the world). If you are like me and have a limited time on the ground, you do not want to waste precious quota on a place like this. I waited about 30-40 min to get in and the food is worth the wait. The space is small and there is only one dish on the menu. You can pick different sizes, 130g, 200g and 260g. I would recommend taking either the 130 or 260. In 200g, you will likely get to smaller size (more narrow) pieces. In the 130 and 260, the amount of meat is wider and less batter. The beef is red and you get to cook it any way you want. I recommend medium rare. There are two types of source for the beef and the soy with wasabi is wonderful.
