Kansai International Airport (KIX) is one of Japan's main international airports. Located in southern Osaka, this hub has great access to Kyoto, Kobe and other regions in Western Japan - and is also a great place to buy all sorts of souvenir snacks!

1. Osaka Castelo's 'Osaka Hanjyuku Castelo Fuwantoron' Fuwatoron is a half-baked egg castilla sold bite-size. Fluffy on the outside, and melting in the inside, with a crunchy sugar texture.

2. Kyoto Otabe's 'Unbaked Yatsuhashi with Azuki Bean' The triangle-shaped Otabe, is Kyoto's famous confectionery, made from unbaked rice cake and bean paste made from Azuki beans. An all-time favorite souvenir, with unchanging taste.

3. Kobe Frantz's 'Kobe Maho no Tsubo Purin' (Magical Pudding in a Pot) This pudding was originally very difficult to buy - only 50 puddings were sold every Saturday at their small shop in Kobe. Now, the pudding is available online and at the airport. The caramel sauce is a perfect match with the creamy pudding and whipped cream.

4. 551 Horai's 'Buta-man'(Pork Bun) Osaka's Soul Food and classic souvenir. You won't be able to stop once you try the stuffed juicy pork filling and hot fluffy bun!

5. Tsujirihei-Honten's 'Uji Matcha Baum Kuchen Kyo no Take' Matcha flavored Baum Kuchen, shaped in the form of a long bamboo. The cake is made of uji matcha and cream, with a soft and deep texture.

6. Taro Foods' 'Cui-daore Taro Pudding' Osaka's famous Cui-daore Taro's hat contains delicious pudding made by "Dojima Sweets". Its sweet and bitter flavor is created by mixing 2 types of sauce - sweet caramel sauce and bitter crushed caramel.

7. Hyogetsudo's  'Tako Patier' See what happens when a patissier makes takoyaki. In addition to classical takoyaki toppings such as sauce, seaweed and fish flakes, dessert toppings such as walnuts and caramel have been combined to create an all-new souvenir.

8. Chidoriya's 'Mitarashi Omochi' Rice cakes made of sweet and salty sauce, rolled into small bite-size balls. From the soft mochi ball, taste the thick 'mitarashi' sauce seep out slowly.

9. Kit Kat's 'Kansai International Limited Kit Kat' A selection of Kit Kat flavors, which are only sold at this airport. Flavors include Azuki bean, Japanese strawberry, Uji matcha, and Sakura matcha. Comes in Japanese style packaging.

10. Osaka Senshodo's 'Yuzu Manju' Sold exclusively at the Kansai International Airport. This "manjyu" is a sweet dessert made from nationally grown Japanese yuzu (citrus), rice powder, yam powder, white beans, and sugar. A good size for a descent snack, the sweet white bean taste tastes light with a mixture of yuzu.
