Went to this eel resto in Umeda after visiting the Universal Studios Japan and lined up for more than half an hour. .My sis and I ordered Eel with Fluffy Omelette Rice Bowl. Topped with a large piece of eel and a thick layer of egg, the dish was really huge. The egg was soft, while the eel was quite tasty and nicely grilled. My bro ordered Beef and Eel Rice Bowl, while my parents got Eel Size: Regular with Rice. Both dishes smelled fragrant. The beef slices were tender. The portion for each dish was so huge that we couldn't finish them. Luckily the resto could help the customers to transform the leftover food into onigiri, so we saved them for breakfast! .Be aware that each person has to pay a cover charge of JPY330, and must order 1 drink. The instruction was a bit unclear so only when we sat down did we realise this...Also, five of us squeezed into one table, so it was a bit hard for us to eat comfortably, esp after waiting for quite a while. .Interesting that when we entered and left the resto, the staff would hit the drums and delivered some greetings to us. .Ultimately, I thought the food was ok, but may not worth such a long time of waiting.

Our itinerary was very smooth and we had a day to spare today to do some shopping around Umeda. At lunch time, the restaurant will serve their famous large rice bowls and we came here to try it.The store opens at 11 and when we arrived around 1110am, there was already a queue and actually many stores here had a long queue already. We got a table around 1130am and ordered both their signature dishes.The fluffy omelet with eel rice was definitely stunning, in terms of both taste and appearances. The eel is actually larger than that shown in the menu. The eel was really tender with the right amount of fat. The omelet as said was almost closed to airy. The rice was seasoned just right without being too salty. My friend had the eel with beef and it was just as great. The eel was just as large but it got covered by the beef. No worries if you cannot finish the meal. They will kindly pack it into rice balls for you to take it back. However, due to my huge appetite and skipping breakfast, we finished them all(one of the few rare customers to do so).Looking forward to try their other eel dishes as well.
