Michelin-rated chicken broth ramen
Ginza Kagari Main Store
2025-10-11
Not gonna lie, this Michelin-rated chicken broth ramen was one of the places I was most excited to try 🤩 and it did not disappoint. Hands down the best ramen I’ve ever had! The broth was super creamy, rich, and flavourful🤤 We even ended up drinking half the soup after finishing the noodles because it was that good. No wonder it’s Michelin-recognised—it’s absolutely worth the hype!!!How can I not indulge in an authentic Japanese matcha and hojicha latte? 🍵☕️ This spot offers an extensive selection of matcha and hojicha-based drinks and desserts, including matcha shakes, varying matcha intensity levels, and ice cream. We opted for the classics: the original matcha latte and hojicha latte. Unsurprisingly, they were incredible! The matcha latte had the perfect balance of rich flavour and just the right amount of bitterness, not overwhelming but authentically bold. The hojicha latte stood out with its roasted aroma, offering a deep, earthy taste that was smooth and satisfying. A must-try for all matcha lovers! 🤩…Read More

sukiyaki
Momo Paradise Kabukicho Main Store
2025-10-11
How can you not have sukiyaki when in Japan? 🍲 This time, we went for the all-you-can-eat option, which lets you choose two different soup bases. We picked sukiyaki and shabu shabu—such a perfect combo! The sukiyaki came with unlimited eggs for dipping, and the variety of wagyu, udon, ramen, and fresh veggies was amazing. A surprising standout was the yuzu soba—it was so refreshing and delicious!…Read More

Tonkatsu
Harenosoranoshita
2025-10-11
Tonkatsu is always at the top of my list when I’m in Japan 🐷 We tried different cuts and fat levels: the original loin, shoulder loin, and premium loin. For a perfect balance, I’d highly recommend the shoulder loin, it’s just right, not too fatty, and has a rich pork flavour that’s incredibly satisfying. Each cut was perfectly crispy on the outside while tender and juicy on the inside. The shoulder loin really stood out with its balanced texture and taste. Pair it with their house-made sauces and shredded cabbage, and it’s a meal you’ll keep dreaming about 🤤…Read More

Black Pork Belly Shabu Shabu
Akasaka Umaya Shinjuku
2025-10-10
What’s better than having Shabu Shabu on a chilly winter day in Tokyo? 🍲 We ordered the Black Pork Belly Shabu Shabu hotpot this time, while I usually go for wagyu, this black pork belly was absolutely next-level, tender and flavourful. They provide a small bowl of soup where you can adjust the spice to your liking, then add sesame and spring onion for extra flavour. Boil the pork belly, dip it in your customised soup, and finish off with some ramen, so satisfying! The seats are super comfy, making the whole experience even better. Another surprise highlight? The Mandarin cider🍊 It’s sparkling, refreshing, and rich in mandarin flavor, I loved it so much I was hunting for it everywhere in Tokyo after trying it.…Read More

Must-eats in Tokyo
Gyukatsu Motomura Shinjuku Store
2025-10-10
One of my absolute must-eats whenever I’m in Tokyo: the beef cutlet set (gyu-katsu). It’s such a fun experience, grill your own pre-deep-fried gyu-katsu on a sizzling stone grill, just the way you like it. The beef is incredibly tender, while the lightly crispy coating adds the perfect texture. This level of quality for such an affordable price is something you can only find in Japan. It’s always a highlight of my trip, and I promise it won’t disappoint you either!…Read More

One of my favourite izakaya spots
Fukumimi Shinjuku Store
2025-10-10
Let me share one of my favourite spots, an izakaya I always revisit whenever I’m in Tokyo. 🤩This is my third time here, and it never disappoints. Their yakitori is absolutely divine, with skewers priced between 200–500 yen, so affordable yet bursting with flavour. Their drinks are also top-notch, perfectly complementing the food. Honestly, you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu at this gem of an izakaya!…Read More
