Tokyu Plaza Ginza is a new shopping facility, which has made its grand opening on 31 March 2016. Surrounded by 4 major streets of Ginza, this landmark is easily accessible, directly connected to Tokyo Metro’s Ginza Station. Under the concept ”Creative Japan”, Tokyu Plaza Ginza’s building has been designed based on the motifs of the Edo Kiriko; traditional Edo glass craft. Opposed to its traditional looks, the landmark contains highly trending shops, creating a fusion of the old and new. Here are the must sees and Top 13 Gourmet Points you should look out for your visit!

FIND JAPAN MARKET (6th & 7th Floor)

This one of the main highlights of the building, where you will meet 'Real Japan'. The 6th Floor includes fashion and variety goods for adults, which have been made with Japanese craftmanship and adaptation. The KIRIKO LOUNGE is a public space, with the Edo Kiriko feel. Half of the lounge is a free space where you can bring in your own drinks, while the other half is a cafe called Sukiyabashi Sabo.

The7th Floor is aimed to spread Japanese culture, and contains the ’HANDS EXPO’ by the retail shop Tokyu Hands. With concept to ‘connect and grow culture’, there are 5 different areas; ‘NIPPON (Japan)’, ‘OISHI (delicious)’, ‘TOKYO’, ‘KAWAII’, ‘MANABU (learn)’ each with corresponding items.

LOTTE DUTY FREE (8th & 9th Floor)

This is an airport-type duty free shop that handles luxury brand products such as jewelry and cosmetics. Once you make purchases, you can collect your tax-free items at the airport before departure. Make sure to bring you passport and plane ticket along!

KIRIKO TERRACE (Roof)

Approximately 56m above ground level, this is an open terrace with a complete view of Ginza. The terrace is separated into 2 areas - ‘GREEN SIDE’ and ‘WATER SIDE’. Until the end of June 2016, the WATER SIDE will be under construction for the summer Beer Garden ‘WHITE AND SKY’, offering Brazilian cuisine with Latin Grill Menus and over 50 types of drinks.

SALON GINZA SABOU Restaurant Produced by Japanese Fashion Brand ‘Adam et Rope’, this is a shop focusing on the current trends of the world with a fusion of Japan and Europe. Foods such as onigiri, rice porridge and bento can be enjoyed with a selection of teas from Nara prefecture.

Tachigui-susi Nemuro HANAMARU Restaurant Nemuro HANAMARU is originally from Hokkaido, surviving hard competition. This is their first stand-up sushi bar, offering fresh sushi starting from 100JPY per piece. Serving Hokkaido’s selective seafood, a frequent visit are welcome for those who wish to have what’s best at that specific time of year.

TOKUOKA Restaurant This is a food and wine shop by Japan’s leading wine importer TOKUOKA, with a history of 140 years in the alcoholic beverage industry. HANDELS VAGEN Restaurant The first shop in Tokyo is located right here in Tokyu Plaza Ginza. This is an ice cream shop from Kyoto, produced by a Japanese chef, who makes the ice cream and cones handmade! With minimum use of additives, and plenty of Japanese grown fruits, each ice cream is made fresh at the shop’s kitchen - the reason for the soft texture you rarely find in ice creams! We recommend the rich matcha and rich hojicha flavors.

Sukiyabashi Sabo Restaurant This is a Premium Lounge with a 27m high open ceiling, that overlooks the entire town of Ginza. The dishes served are supervised by Chef Akiyama from Ginza’s famous restaurant Mutsukari. The menus has the most delicate and creative appearance in the style of Modern Japanese cuisine. Mutsukari's famous White Macaroons can be enjoyed here, together with carefully selected drinks such as blended coffee, Japanese teas and cocktails supervised by multiple famous shops in Tokyo.
