Sushi and Horse Meat Oyaji Saigo no Nigiri Bettei was renovated in April as the second branch of the popular sushi izakaya Oyaji Saigo no Nigiri in Shinsaibashi. Just like the main Oyaji store, you can enjoy carefully selected horse sashimi, Sakura yakiniku, Sakura nabe, and many other special dishes made with fresh fish sourced from the market and domestic horse meat shipped directly from Kumamoto, Kyushu. We also offer specially selected horse meat nigiri sushi and a course menu with a variety of special dishes. We also have a wide selection of carefully selected local sake and Japanese sake that go well with seafood and horse meat! Perfect for special occasions such as dates, business meetings, and dinner parties.

About Reward Scheme
I made a reservation at 10 something to have midnight snack there. They gave us a room, and there were a few ladies in the room next to us, separate only by curtain, quite a noisy place but that’s ok, we are here for the good food - it claims it is an expert in horse meat.We ordered some appetiser, some horse meat sashimi and grill horse meat. The appetiser came first within 5 mins, and then the waitress said we may have to wait a bit for rest of the dishes, we think that’s alright, good food needs patience and it is impolite to urge the chef, it is reasonable for 10-20 mins for preparing the food as always and we understand. But then 20 mins passed, 30 mins passed, no update from waitress, exhausted and sleepy after long wait, we eventually could not tolerate anymore and asked waitress how long we have to wait more after 50 mins, and if we can cancel the order and just go back hotel, the reply that we got was ‘the food will be served soon’.Finally after slightly more than 1 HOUR WAIT, our horse meat was served, and remember, we ordered horse sashimi and grill horse meat, meaning they gave us the raw meat and we grill by ourselves. So we seriously wonder what was the point to wait so long if they just have to serve raw food to us? I mean I know you still need seasoning on the meat even if it is raw, but at least, it does not need time to cook, your restaurant is expert in horse meat and I thought you would have enough horse meat ready to serve and we have wait 1 HOUR for that! We eventually finished the horse meat within 5 mins after waitress put on our table and headed back to hotel.Extremely terrible experience, especially considering the price range and it is Japanese restaurant, which normally provide outstanding client service and experience.I will never return again!
