Ginnoto

Since its founding in the Showa 30s (1955), this stew specialty restaurant has been dedicated to perfecting stews and gratins. Located near the iconic Kabukiza Theatre, "Ginnoto" has long been beloved by kabuki actors. It’s even said they sometimes deliver directly to the backstage dressing rooms!

The menu is simple yet refined, offering only stews and gratins. For the stews, you can choose from four types: beef, vegetable, tongue, or mix (beef and tongue). If you’re unsure what to try, go for the highly recommended mini set: mix stew + gratin combo (4,200 JPY). This set comes with two small side dishes, pickles, and rice, letting you enjoy both signature dishes in one go.

The restaurant is housed in a renovated pre-war warehouse, giving it a nostalgic Showa-era charm. Take a moment to savor the traditional flavors that have been preserved in Ginza for generations—it's a timeless taste experience you won’t forget!
