The Nakanoshima park is a river oasis located between the Dojima and Tosabori rivers in Kita, Osaka. Established in 1891, this park has several historical buildings from the early 1900s which are still used as public service buildings. Nakanoshima park maintains an impressive rose garden, boasting about 3,700 stalks of 310 varieties. The park is free to enter all year round, but the best rose blooms only occur twice a year- mid to late May and throughout most of October.

Restaurant Kita-hama no Wagaya


Kita-hama no Wagaya is a seafood izakaya that uses only fresh seasonal fish purchased on a daily basis to ensure the highest quality. 

For lunch (11:00-14:00), they offer donburi (rice bowl) and udon sets from 750JPY.  During the evening (17:00-22:00), they offer a variety of courses starting from 4,000JPY that include all-you-can-drink and different dishes from raw, fried, boiled and grilled fish with an appetizer, rice and dessert. 



Kita-hama no Wagaya is only a minute walk from Kitahama station exit number 3 or 1B.



Restaurant GARB Weeks


GARB Weeks is a cafe restaurant located inside Nakanoshima park. Next to City Central Public Hall with a very open and relaxing atmosphere overlooking the park. The menu has BBQ courses for small to large groups (4,000JPY~), anniversary course (3,500JPY), there are also non course choices such as, Napoletana Pizza (1,210JPY), Roasted Duck (2,140JPY). Dessert+drink sets are offered all day (11:30-17:00) with items like cake and tart slices (550JPY~), french toast (600JPY) or dolce pizzas (850JPY~).

GARB Weeks is right outside of Naniwabashi station or only a few minutes walk from Kitahama station exit number 26.


Restaurant &Island


This restaurant is located along the Tosabori River with terrace seats overlooking the river and Nakanoshima park across from it. Many people go there to enjoy the view, especially at sunset. Plate lunch/rice box options start from 1,078JPY. 



&Island is about a 5 minute walk from both Yodoyabashi Station exit number 14-B and Kitahama Station exit number 22.
