The Namba Yasaka Shrine is home to a 12 meter high, 7 meter wide lion's head. Known as the Shishiden, this concrete structure is the shrine for the temple's resident deity, Susanoo-no-Mikoto. The large mouth is said to swallow up bad luck, which leaves good luck to all who pay a visit. People travel to see the Shishiden from all over the nation to seek luck in business, academics, and even love!

It takes about 6 minutes to walk from the Osaka Metro's Namba Station, or about 7 minutes from the Nankai Namba Station.
The Nankai Namba Station is also connected to Namba City, so lunchtime is easy if you want to eat before or after visiting the lucky Shishiden!

This store is part of a popular restaurant chain focusing mainly on fresh sashimi based dishes. Tsuruhashi Fugetsu Namba City Minamikan Store
Osaka is known for its many okonomiyaki restaurants. At your table, waitstaff will come to the table with all the ingredients and cook it right in front of you! Lunch time has special set prices not available during dinner. You can get their “Buta-dama teishoku” which features their pork and egg okonomiyaki with miso soup, rice and pickles (1,070JPY).

Sakai Tachibana is a local Osaka-style izakaya. The menu contains all kinds of fresh seafood, from raw sashimi, to grilled and fried dishes. A popular lunch option is the おなじみの二段重 (980JPY), a bento-box style set that comes with rice, miso soup, sashimi and croquette. Another popular option is the Wagyu beef stewed hamburger set (980JPY) that comes together with rice, miso soup, and salad.
