The Kobe Nunobiki Herb Gardens and Ropeway is a wonderful way to enjoy a day in Kobe. The gardens are accessible by taking a 10 minute gondola (the Ropeway) to the top of a hill. The base gondola station is conveniently located next to the JR Shin Kobe Station, and costs 1 adult 1500JPY for a roundtrip ticket which includes breath-taking views of Kobe, Osaka and Kyoto. As the largest herb garden in Japan, visitors can enjoy 12 different gardens with flowers and herbs that bloom all year round.

This restaurant uses herbs and flowers picked directly from the garden in all of their dishes giving them a unique colour, aroma and flavor. They offer a set menu (3,190JPY) that includes a main dish such as pasta, meat or fish together with 8 appetizers and bread. The dishes will change according to seasonal ingredients. The inside of the restaurant is very bright and spacious with some of the best views in Kobe (11:00-14:00).

This restaurant is divided into 2 floors, both with an amazing view of the city and ocean. The first floor is an open terrace where you can enjoy the open space and breeze while eating their original Nunobiki Herb Burger (1,050JPY). The second floor is of an indoor luxurious cafe lounge with large windows overlooking the view. Here you can enjoy a variety of cakes (820-1,020JPY) with one of their original blended herbal teas (1,020JPY).

NAILEY'S GRILL is not in Kobe Nunobiki Herb Gardens but is only about a 5 minute walk from the gondola station and JR Shin Kobe Station. Specialty dishes include BBQ Chicken (1,590JPY), Grilled Pork Chops (2,800JPY), and Kobe Beef Sirloin Steak (10,780 JPY). All main dishes come with mashed potatoes and grilled vegetables.
