Summer is here, which means school is out and many plan to take a vacation somewhere to enjoy the sun, outdoor activities, swimming, outdoor festivals, etc. Japan summers are known for festivals and fireworks during July and August and Japan is known for having fireworks. Here, we picked Sumida Fireworks (Tokyo), Minatomirai fireworks (Yokohama) and Tenjin Fireworks (Osaka) and a restaurant that is close by.

Known for their 20,000 fireworks every year, July 27, 2024 around 7pm-8:30pm and the biggest firework show in Tokyo.

Tokyo Meat bar Asakusabashi Main store   

A 5 minute walk from the sumida-ku fireworks and a 1 minute walk from Asakusabashi station, this restaurant specializes in Japanese most delicious meat sauce with an Italian bar at night. Most of the seats are counter seats where you can enjoy the atmosphere of the kitchen. They have a course for 4 seasonal small dishes for 2,400 JPY plus other meat dishes, pasta, cold dishes, hot dishes,  snacks that go with alcohol, etc.

TAKANASHI Milk RESTAURANT 

A 2 minute walk from Minatomirai fireworks, this restaurant is known for its fresh milk in appetizers, desserts, and drinks plus tasty dishes that are perfect to eat before watching fireworks or you can enjoy a nice meal after the fireworks. They have a premium plan for 3,850 JPY where you can enjoy a brie mer de plate with all 3 types of cheese; fessel, camembert and cultured butter, fresh cheese and cream bar that is fresh and you can have free refills, a main plate of your choice, dessert and drink. A recommended main plate is Duxelle mushroom cream sauce, and chewy fresh pasta with pecorino. Another one is beef hamburger steak with demi glace sauce and horseradish mascarpone cream (extra 330 JPY). PIZZERIA LEON 

A 3 minute walk from Tenmabashi station, this restaurant is equipped with terrace seats, table seats and a few counter seats which makes it  a perfect place to go before or after the Tenjin fireworks. It is a hidden restaurant known for its delicious pizza and cafe atmosphere. They have a course for 5,380 JPY that includes; assorted appetizers, Naples specialty zappolino, red shrimp with oven roasted vegetables with pepperoncini marinade, special garlic toast, blue crab with tomato cream sauce, pizza of your choice, etc plus all you can drink. They have another course for 3,800 JPY that includes appetizers on a large plate, caprese with burrata cheese, zappolino, roasted duck salad with parmesan cheese, etc. For this course, you can add 1,980 JPY for all you can drink.
