Maihama IKSPIARI
2019-07-10

Ikspiari is the Tokyo Disney Resort supermall, holding hundreds of shops, restaurants and a large movie theater. Ikspiari is like an amusement park itself, with themed buildings and a dizzying array of activities and shopping. After a long day of shopping and movie watching, check out the gourmet section of the mall and indulge in a light dessert or a filling dinner.

For maps, news and more, check out their official website.

Restaurant Kyo no Uta

This buffet restaurant offers over 50 dishes, making it the best bang for your buck. Kyo no Uta is also a health-conscious choice, as their dishes reflect the seasons and are mainly vegetable based. Diners use a large plate with nine small holes, and can choose from a variety of cuisines and dishes, from salad to curry to fried chicken or udon noodles. Don’t forget to save room for dessert. The options are endless, from matcha roll cakes to fruit-based puddings. The food is served fresh and is constantly replenished.

Lunch is 2,100 JPY and dinner is 2,600 JPY. On weekdays, Kyo no Uta is open from 11AM - 4:30PM for lunch and 5PM to 10PM for dinner. On weekends, lunch is from 11AM to 6PM and dinner is from 5PM to 10PM.

For a taste of traditional Japan in a modern Ikspiari, check out Rin Ya. Rin Ya serves hegisoba, a noodle dish from Niigata. The soba is served chilled and in bundles. The diner then dips into the soy sauce based broth and slurps away. The soba is best paired with crispy tempura. Larger appetites can order a set meal, which comes with a small rice bowl topped with sashimi. Be sure to order a refreshing beer or a cup of sake to unwind after a long day.

Restaurant Nana’s Green Tea

For a mid-afternoon shopping break, stop by Nana’s Green Tea and relax with their signature matcha. Their menu is vast, with a variety of matcha beverages and desserts with slight twists. Diners can cool down with a simple Iced Matcha Latte or can go roasted with the Hojicha with chocolate. The decadent parfaits are a delightful twist on Japanese sweets, or traditionalists can go for a bowl of red bean soup or a soft chiffon cake. Drink sets are available, so just for a few yen more, diners can splurge on a dessert and a latte.
