I was staying at JR Tower Hotel Nikko Sapporo and for guests we get to enjoy a hotel guest dinner menu at this restaurant for a discounted price at 8000yen. The bread and its seasoning was already a great start. Besides the usual olive oil, the sesame was a nice touch with a hint of spice (like pepper). Yet it did not overwhelm the flavors of sesame nor the bread and mainly just made it more appetizing.

The seafood croquette despite being small exploded with flavors upon the bite.

The salad was again another pleaser. They have Kasube (ray) in the salad, which matched the texture of other vegetables and the tapenade on the side was seasoned perfectly.

The pasta made by their Hokkaido wheat was cooked perfectly and the chorizo added was just right without overpowering the taste of the pasta itself.

It was really interesting to eat eel in a French Dish but they made it work. They chose conger eel, which has a texture simiar to pork and peppery sauce definitely highlighted its intense flavors.

Next came the wagyu and needless to say, almost melted in your mouth.

The dinner ended with a tropical style parfait with coconut ice cream and grapefruit and lychee and I was surprised(yet loved) how they added the second layer to give it a nice crunchiness to the dessert.
